All campuses are authorized to award degrees, however.
Westwood College began as a diploma and degree-granting institution that offered many technical programs. Today, students can earn diplomas and undergraduate degrees in many fields within the School of Business, School of Design, School of Justice, School of Technology, School of Healthcare, and School of Industrial Services. Specific majors include Fashion Merchandising, Game Art and Design, Graphic Design and Multimedia, Animation, Criminal Justice and Medical Assisting. Westwood College also offers an MBA program. Online and campus-based curricula emphasize the importance of learning real-world skills, and the school’s relationships with various businesses and industry leaders help students secure internships and post-graduate job opportunities. Faculty members are also working professionals who are able to teach relevant skills as well as the theories and concepts for each field of study. Some programs offer fast-track schedules, letting students earn associate’s degrees in just 20 months and bachelor’s degrees in three years. These programs are offered year-round and can help students graduate and find employment much more quickly than if they enrolled in a traditional college.
Westwood College Online offers students many benefits besides remote access learning and flexibility. Students have access to free tutoring, virtual classrooms,a library and bookstore, and even free computer support. The Alumni Retraining program lets returning Westwood students retake courses that were in their original curriculum to refresh their skills and understanding of a particular subject. These classes are offered tuition-free for qualified graduates. Students can participate in career management seminars and participate in the Climbing with the Experts Series to enhance their career plans and goals. Additional career resources include support for maintaining a portfolio, practicing interview skills and more.
